Opinion Poll: Will attacks on minorities stop without stopping the hate campaigns?

By IndiaTomorrow.net,
New Delhi, 18 March 2015: “My government will not allow any religious group, belonging to the majority or the minority, to incite hatred against others, overtly or covertly. Mine will be a government that gives equal respect to all religions,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said while addressing an eminent Christian event in the National Capital a month ago. Like before, hate campaigns and attacks on minority institutions and worship places continued after his forceful speech.

In the last one week, two attacks on Christian community – one in West Bengal and another in Haryana – have shaken the nation as well as the world community. A 72-year-old nun was gang-raped in Nadia district of West Bengal and an under-construction church was ransacked in Haryana. In the last three months, at least seven attacks on churches have occurred in the National Capital of Delhi itself.

Why have PM Modi’s statements on religious freedom and minority rights failed to stop attacks on minorities? One answer could be: The hate campaigns have continued unabated despite the PM’s snubs.

Then the Question is Genuine:
