New Delhi, 10 Jan 2014: Jamia Teachers ’Association (JTA) has condemned politicization of the miseries and deplorable conditions of innocent victims of the Muzzafarnagar communal riot.

“Instead of finding permanent and dignified solutions to their miseries and ensure safe/secure resettlement at their native places the state and the central governments have remained busy in playing blame games,” said SM Mahmood, Secretary, JTA.

“On the one hand the victims have been living in dehumanizing conditions (without an end to their tale of miseries) on the other hand the state government is spending public money in organizing so-called “Cultural Carnivals”,” he said.

JTA appealed to all political parties to desist from making political capital out of a human tragedy. It demanded permanent and immediate resettlement of the displaced people with full security of life and property.
