Will open more centres for Civil Services preparation: Kerala CM

Thiruvananthapuram, 25 June 2014: Chief Minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy on Tuesday announced to open more sub-centres of the Kerala State Civil Service Academy which coaches students for the Civil Services examinations.

Speaking at a ceremony organised by the academy to honour its 45 students who cracked the Civil Services Exam 2013, the CM said supporting Civil Services aspirants from Kerala is a valuable investment on part of the state government. Of the 45, there are seven from the Muslim community.

He applauded the academy for increasing the share of Kerala in Civil Services since it was launched by the Centre for Continuing Education Kerala in 2005. The centre is an autonomous body established by the Kerala government.

Kerala Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb, Chief Secretary Bharat Bhushan, former Education Minister M.A Baby and chief mentor Babu Paul also addressed the gathering.
