IndiaTomorrow.net,
Jaipur, July 14: India’s prominent Muslim organization has strongly condemned the statement of pro-Hindutva controversial saint Sadhvi Prachi for giving a death call for Islamic preacher Dr Zakir Naik.

While speaking to mediapersons at Roorkee in Uttarakhand on Wednesday, Prachi had reportedly announced a reward of Rs 50 lakh to any person “who will behead” Dr Zakir Naik.

“Legal action must be taken against Sadhvi Prachi for provoking murder and giving communal hate speech so that people have firm faith in law and order system,” said Er Khursheed Hussain, Rajasthan state president of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind.

Condemning the Sadhvi’s statement, Hussain further said that this country is run by law and here is rule of law. He also reminded Sadhvi that calling for anyone’s murder is a crime. He demanded an end to such types of hate statements for sake of communal harmony of the country.

He further said Dr Naik did not break any law of the country but he preached Islam abiding by Indian constitution. It is the constitutional right of not only his but all citizens of the country.

Mumbai-based televangelist and Islamic scholar Dr Naik has been in the news for the last two weeks following the Dhaka terror blasts. Most of the Indian media linked Dr Naik with the blasts after an alleged report in a Bangladesh daily which said one of the terrorists was his follower. The English daily The Daily Star, however, later clarified that it never said that Dr Naik had inspired the terrorist to kill the innocents.
