New Delhi, Jan 20: All India Majlis-e Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi has cited the ongoing protest for Jallikattu culture in Tamil Nadu to denounce any attempt to impose a uniform civil code in a multi-religious country like India.

“#Jallikattuprotest Lesson for Hindutva forces, Uniform Civil Code cannot be “imposed”. This nation cannot have one CULTURE. We celebrate all,” tweeted Owaisi who has continuously represented Hyderabad in Lok Sabha for past three terms.

People in Tamil Nadu are protesting against the Supreme Court ban on the Jallikattu tradition.
