Bhopal, June 14: For the past one week, opposition leaders had been trying to do what Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan did today. The Opposition also wanted to visit Mandsaur and meet families of the farmers who were killed in police firing last week (6th June) but all of them were denied entry, some of them including Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi and Swaraj India president Yogendra Yadav were detained. Aam Aadmi Party leader Ashutosh and Gujrat youth leader Hardik Patel were also not allowed entry.

According to media reports, given the anger of the farmers, the CM did not visit the affected areas by road but by helicopter. More than half a dozen helipads were constructed in as many areas for the CM’s helicopter.

According to media reports, the CM will be giving cheques of Rs one crore to each family of the six farmers killed in the Police firing during the protest demonstration in Mandsaur on 6th June.
