VARANASI, JULY 17—A Nepali citizen in Varanasi, the Lok Sabha constituency of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was tonsured and forced to chant “Jai Shri Ram”, “Nepal PM Murdabad”and “Hindustan Zindabad on Thursday.
The incident was captured in a video footage and ciruclated on the social media.
This happened in Varanasi, UP.

The Varanasi police have booked a case against Pathak at the Bhelupur Police Station under Section 505 (2) (statement creating or promoting enmity, hatred or ill will between classes), Section 295 (Injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the religion of any class) and the IT Act.
The incident happened after Nepal PM KP Oli gave a controversial statement saying that Ram belonged to Nepal, not to India. He also claimed that the real Ayodhya is in India, not in Nepal. He alleged that India has distorted history and appropriated Ram.
The drama was orchestrated by little known Hindu outfit-Vishwa Hindu Sena’s Arun Pathak. Pathak had earlier threatened that Nepali citizens in Varanasi will have to bear the consequences if Oli did not take his remarks back. Pathak had put up the videon on his Facebook page.
The miscreants also wrote ‘Jai Shri Ram’ on tonsured scalp of the shirtless Nepali man. The miscreants are also heard to chant the slogans along with the Nepali citizen.
When the miscreants insisted to denounce Oli, Nepali man said, “Mananiya (Honourable) Nepal PM Oli Murdabad”.
He was also forced to say “Nepal Murdabad” and “Hindustan Zindabad” and he did so.
The Nepali citizen is heard saying that Shri Ram did not belong to Nepal. “Shri Ram Nepal ka nahin, Bharat ka bashinda tha(Shri Ram did not belong to Nepal. He was Indian citizen)”.
He was also forced to say “Bharat Mata ki Jai, Nepal Murdabad, Hindustan Zindabad”.
The miscreants made him to say, “Nepali PM did not provide us livelihood. So we came to India. India has provided us support. Why are you snatching away our livelihood?”.
