Supreme Court stays UP Govt’s directive to shops en route Kanwar Yatra

NEW DELHI—On Monday, the Supreme Court stayed the UP government’s directive to shops en route to Kanwar Yatra to display the names of their owners and employees outside the shops.

The stay order was issued on a petition filed by the Association for Protection of Civil Rights (APCR).

The order was given by a bench comprising Justices Hrishikesh Roy and SVN Bhatti.

The next hearing in the case will be held on July 26.
