NEW DELHI: The Women Education and Empowerment Trust (TWEET) held two important events to highlight its dedication to enhancing the lives of women and girls in the community during a momentous week of empowerment and celebration in the national capital.  In these two events, TWEET demonstrated its unwavering dedication to building a supportive and empowered community for women and girls.

On August 30th, 2024 a gathering at The Scholar School was organized to mark the 1st Anniversary of Tweet Girls’ Hostel. The event was a lively affair, with about 50 guests, including both current and former hostel residents, joining in the festivities. The day was filled with laughter, games, and performances, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Notable figures such as Tweet Chairperson Mrs. Rahmathunnisa, Director Dr. Shahanas Muthu, Trustee Member Juveria, and hostel in-Charge Mrs. Anfiya graced the occasion with their presence. During the event, the hostel’s dedicated staff Parween, Nikhath, and Anoosa, who have worked tirelessly behind the scenes, were honoured with special gifts as a token of appreciation for their hard work and commitment. The celebration wrapped up with a communal dinner, leaving everyone with smiles and a sense of togetherness.

On September 3rd, 2024, TWEET continued its mission of empowerment with an awareness program on government schemes at Jahangirpuri, New Delhi. This session, led by Mrs. Khushnuma and Ms. Muskan, aimed to provide women with crucial information about the welfare schemes available through the Delhi state Government. The coordinators explained the various schemes, the application process, and the documents required, making sure that the attendees felt equipped to access these resources.

This programme was more than just an informational session—it was a carefully crafted effort to empower women in the community, giving them the tools and knowledge they need to overcome challenges and improve their quality of life.
