Human Welfare Foundation Hosts Teachers’ Training Program in Kolkata

NEW DELHI: The Human Welfare Foundation organized a two-day teachers’ training workshop in Kolkata aimed at empowering educators and aligning them with the evolving educational landscape. Teachers from various districts across West Bengal participated with enthusiasm in this significant event.

The workshop, a part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational practices, offered valuable professional development opportunities. Attendees engaged in sessions on the latest advancements in educational strategies, classroom management techniques, and innovative teaching methods. Key topics included the New Education Policy 2020, the National Curriculum Framework, and understanding child psychology, which were discussed in depth to enrich participants’ teaching practices.

The Human Welfare Foundation, based in New Delhi, is a non-profit, non-political organization dedicated to the upliftment of underprivileged communities across India. Since 2008, the Foundation has been conducting teacher training programs in various states as part of its Education Programme.

This event featured contributions from several esteemed experts:

*Dr. Ayatulla Farooq, Faculty of Aliah University, Kolkata.

*Mechbahar Saikh, Former Consultant at UNICEF & State Consultant for Sarva Shiksha Mission, West Bengal.

*Ratul Guha, Former Member of the Syllabus Expert Committee, School Education Department, Government of West Bengal.

*Nilay Roy, Deputy Director of School Education, Government of West Bengal.

*Somnath Roy, Former Principal of Purulia Primary Teachers’ Training College (DIET).

*Naimul Haque, Teacher at Harinavi High School, Rajpur-Son.

The workshop, led by Shariq Ansar, Manager of the Department of Education at HWF, Delhi, provided participants with renewed energy, fresh ideas, and a deeper commitment to their students’ success. Educators gave new insights and strategies to enhance their teaching practices, fostering an environment of growth and inspiration.

As teachers return to their classrooms, they carry with them a commitment to applying these learnings to make a positive impact on their students’ lives.
