Aligarh, 06 May 2015: Taking a lead role for rehabilitation of all those people who have been victim of power excesses of state, the students union of Aligarh Muslim University has decided to create a national fund. AMU students union president Abdullah Azzam will announce the fund at an event here on Thursday. At the program, the students body will honour the twelve people who were acquitted of terror charges in the Akshardham terror attack case (Gujarat) in May last year.

Talking to IndiaTomorrow.net over phone, Abdullah Azzam said the national fund will be for all such ‘state terror’ victims whether they are Muslim or Hindu or anyone.

“Rehabilitation of such victims is the duty of the state and communities. When none of them is coming out, we have decided to take the lead. Our fund will benefit all such victims irrespective of their cast and creed,” said Azzam.

In the last couple of years, dozens of Muslim youths have been acquitted in terror cases in different states.
