New Delhi, Jan 31: The condition of Indian Union Muslim League MP and former union minister E Ahamed is critical and presently on the life support system at the Ram Manohar Lohiya Hospital in Delhi. He had collapsed during President Pranab Mukherjee’s inaugural speech at the joint session of Parliament here this morning.
“Condition of IUML MP E Ahamed who was rushed to the hospital from Parliament is critical, presently on life support system,” said ANI news agency.
“PM has expressed concern. All possible medical facilities being provided. He (IUML MP E. Ahamed) is in intensive care unit,” the agency quoted union minister Jitendra Singh as saying.
Senior parliamentarian and former Union Minister E. Ahamed fell down during the address of President Pranab Mukherjee at the Central Hall of the Parliament House. He was rushed to the RML Hospital.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has enquired about health condition of E Ahamed.
Ahamed, who has represented Kerala’s Malappuram constituency in Lok Sabha, was junior Foreign Affairs Minister during the Manmohan Singh government.
