New Delhi, 09 Feb 2014: Top Muslim leaders of the country have raised question over the cold attitude of the central government to the revelations made by terror accused Swami Aseemanand about the role of Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat in various terror blasts.

Maulana Syed Jalaluddin Umari, Ameer (National President) of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has expressed concern at the silence of the government over the revelations made by saffron terror accused Aseemanand in an interview to an English monthly The Caravan.

“The government has always shown interest in arresting Muslim youths without any evidence and reason on fake terror charges but it is silent on the revelations of the magazine. This exposes double standard of the government,” said Maulana Umari. He demanded probe into the revelations.

In the interview to The Caravan, Assemanand has allegedly said that all terror attacks in Muslim areas including Malegaon, Ajmer and Mecca Masjid and some other blasts like Samjhauta Express were carried out after green signal from RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat.

Dr Zafarul-Islam Khan, President, All India Muslim Majlise Mushawarat, has also demanded probe.

In a letter to the Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde Dr Khan asked why agencies under his direct control are going slow on Hindutva terror.

“Many new revelations are made by the prime accused Swami Aseemanand in his latest interview with the Caravan magazine. These demand a rigorous probe of the Hindutva terror right to the top of the RSS leadership,” he demanded.

Social Democratic Party of India, (SDPI) chief A. Sayeed expressed deep dismay, distress and anguish over the alleged “patronage” extended by the bigwigs of RSS in the various bomb blasts in the country as revealed by Aseemanand, an accused in the Samjhauta Express and other blast cases.

“The claims made by Aseemanand in the interview published in the latest issue of Caravan magazine should be unfolded to the minute details so that the role of the Hindu fundamentalists under the tutelage of RSS bosses into innumerable terror attacks across the country including Samjhauta Express, Ajmer shrine, Makkah Masjid and Malegaon blasts in 2006 and 2008 could be established beyond doubt,” said Mr. Sayeed.

Mufti Abul Qasim Nomani, rector of Asia’s largest Islamic seminary Darul Uloom Deoband demanded the government to ban RSS and take action against communal forces.
