NEW DELHI—The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Saturday announced assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Punjab and Manipur will be held in seven phases.
Chief Election Commissioner Sushil Chandra said that Uttar Pradesh will go to poll in seven phases from February 10 to March 7, while Punjab, Uttarakhand and Goa to vote on February 14 and Manipur to vote on Feb 27 and 3 March. The counting of votes will be held on March 10.
