GURUGRAM–In a belated but bold action, Nuh Police today arrested Monu Manesar self styled cow vigilante for inflammatory videos on social media during Jalabhishek Yatra of Vishav Hindu Parishad at Shiv temple Nuh,which resulted into large scale violence.
After Bittu Bajrangi, Nuh Police today arrested Monu Manesar from market in Manesar today morning. Mamta Singh ADGP Law and Order while confirming the arrest Monu had been arrested for his inflammatory videos on social media.
Monu’s arrest has led to tension in Manesar as according to reports reaching here. A large number of right wing activists have assembled at Bhisham temple, Manesar, for chalking out a strategy for protest against his arrest. Police is keeping vigil on movements of activists.
There are reports that activists are planning to block National Highway 8 ( Delhi- Jaipur). After the Nuh violence Haryana Police had constituted a SIT for probing the reasons of violence and role of those who had instigated it.
According to reports, Monu Manesar is being questioned by senior police officers at Nuh.
Monu Manesar is also suspected for his involvement in killing of two youths of Alwar district on suspicion of being cow smugglers. Their burnt bodies were found in a vehicle in Bhiwani district of Haryana.
During recent Jalabhishek Yatra, Monu Manesar had appealed to the people for joining Yatra, assuring that he too will join. His plan of joining Yatra has led to tension in the area.
Earlier, Bittu Bajrangi had also put a video on social media asking the people that their son-in – law is coming and be ready for welcome. He was arrested but was bailed out by the Court.
Police has also issued notice to Maman Khan, Congress MLA, for joining the probe but he is evading it. It is believed that he too put inflammatory videos on social media.
Haryana Home minister Anil Vij had recently told that if his (Monu Manesar) role is found doubtful, he will be arrested.
