New Delhi, 24 April 2014: A Muslim organization of weavers and artisans in the capital has sacked its Vice-President for going against the policy of the organization and meeting with senior BJP leaders.

The organization known as the All India Momin Conference (AIMC), which is an organization for weavers and artisans, removed Mr. Haji Mohammad Imran Ansari from his position as Vice-President after it was found that he had been having meetings with various politicians and BJP leaders.

The AIMC in its statement said that Mohammad Imran had, along with a fake delegation, met with various politicians including senior BJP leader and candidate of the Chandni Chowk Lok Sabha constituency, Dr. Harsh Vardhan.

Imran Ansari had apparently made promises and pledged to help Dr. Vardhan and the BJP in a meeting that was reported in the Times of India along with a photograph of the event, dated 29th March 2014.

The AIMC has said that its President and many top officials had shown their disapproval for his actions and several attempts were made to convince him not to go against the policy of the organization, yet he did not heed their advice. After issuing a show-cause notice to him on 11th April 2014, they officially removed Mohammad Imran as Vice President.

In its statement the AIMC called Mohammad Imran Ansari a person who “has no moral values and will go to any extent for his personal gains.”
