Lucknow, 05 Nov 2014: The rise of BJP and prime minister Narendra Modi has emboldened fringe Hindutva elements and encouraged “loot” by the corporates, some left parties have alleged here and called for a protest from November 10.

In a meeting held in Lucknow, leaders of Communist Party of India (CPI), IPF, Worker’s Council and CPI-ML said they would launch a protest against the anti-people policies of the Narendra Modi led government.

“It has been 150 days since the Modi government took over. His taking office has encouraged incidents of communal violence. The PM has only indulged in rhetoric of bringing the black money back and controlling prices but nothing has been done on ground,” the leaders said in a statement.

The leaders had joined hands under the banner of “People’s Campaign Against Communalism and Corporate Loot.”
