New Delhi, 04 April 2015: This past Wednesday was a painful day in the life of senior IAS officer Ashok Khemka when he was transferred by the Haryana government 46th time in 24 years of his career. The monster of corruption has proved too big for whistle-blower Khemka to control it and now he feels tired.

“Tried hard to address corruption and bring reforms in Transport despite severe limitations and entrenched interests. Moment is truly painful,” tweeted Khemka at 12:47 AM on 2nd April. Earlier in the day he was transferred from the state Transport Department to the Museum and Archaeology Department.

On 29th March, two days before the transfer, he had asked the government to stop licence black-marketing. “First stop license black-marketing, name & shame all who profiteered from it in past. Set up Inquiry Commission after this basic first step,” Khemka tweeted.

In fact, for last several days particularly after the CAG report, he was hitting on black-marketing of licenses.

“#CAGreport Many issues untouched in CAG Report. Cycle of corruption involved the triad – business, politics and bureaucracy.” (26 March).

“#CAGreport Black-marketing of licenses and permits to cronies is loot of public wealth. Will action be taken against the black-marketers?”(25 March)
