New Delhi, 07 April 2015: The Congress party on Monday strongly criticized the central BJP government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for calling official conferences on national holidays of Christians. The party said this tells about the mentality of BJP and PM Modi.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here on Monday, senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh criticized the Modi government for holding official programs on Christmas Day last year and on Easter two days back when the government organized a Joint Conference of Chief Ministers of States and the Chief Justices of the High Courts in New Delhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the conference.

“Will Narendra Modi ji call any official conference on the day of Diwali, Dussehra or Holi? Couldn’t the conference of judges have been held on 6th April or on 4th April? Similarly, he had called several meetings on 25th December (Christmas Day) itself. He repeated it on Easter day. This all shows his mentality,” said Singh.
