New Delhi, Feb 10: Two days after he got good news from TERI (The Energy and Resources Institute) as it created a new post to retain him, noted environmentalist Dr RK Pachauri, who is an accused in a sexual harassment case, has got a setback on Wednesday when some students have reportedly announced not to accept degrees from him at the convocation due in March.

Referring to the charges against Dr Pachauri and the young woman’s comments, an open letter by the students said, “Ignorance will take us no where, this the time to stand-up, firm and with resolve, to seek truth,” said NDTV.

Dr Pachauri was removed as TERI chief after an internal inquiry committee found him guilty of misconduct. Even while the case is pending in the court, TERI on Monday appointed him Executive Vice-Chairman.
