IndiaTomorrow.net,
New Delhi, March 14: Eminent Hindu saint and orator Acharya Pramod Krishnan has said that hate walls being erected between communities must be demolished before it becomes too late. Without naming any party or groups, he condemned divisive and hate campaigns being run in the country.

While addressing a mammoth gathering, of mostly Muslims, at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium here on Saturday, Acharya Krishnan said that no community is bad but bad is the idea that divides communities.

“Brahmins are not bad. Jats are also not bad. Sikhs, Christians, Muslims, Thakurs, forward classes, backward classes – none is bad. If anything is bad that is the idea and thought that erects walls between us,” said Acharya amidst huge applauds from the gathering of around 40 thousand people.

“I want to tell you that the walls have begun to be erected. We have to demolish these under-construction walls right now, otherwise it would be too late,” said he while addressing the daylong National Solidarity Conference organized by Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind (Arshad Madani group).

Coming down heavily on divisive politics, Acharya Krishnan, who is Pithadhishwar of Kalkidham in Sambhal, said those who sacrificed their life for freedom of the country had not thought that their country would be ruled by one community or caste or class.

“When Subhash Chandra Bose gave the call from Bengal – Give Me Blood And I Will Give You Freedom – he had not thought that the country would be only for Bengalis. When Bhagat Singh embraced the gallows just at the age of 23, he had not thought that the country would be only for Sikhs. When Pandit Chandarshekhar Azad killed himself he had not thought that only Brahmins should rule the country. When Ashfaqullah Khan was asked about his last wish just before the execution, he said: Kuchh Aarzoo Nahi Gar Aarzoo To Yeh Hai / Laakar Zara Si Rakh Do Khaak-e Watan Kafan Mein (I have no wish but I wish if you could put some soil of my land in my coffin),” said Acharya.

“My friends, we salute the martyrdom of Sardar Bhagat Singh and Subhash Chandra Bose. We cannot ignore the sacrifice of Ashfaqullah Khan. We salute the sacrifice of Chandrashekhar Azad and Major Asharam Tyagi. We cannot ignore the sacrifice of Veer Abdul Hameed.”

He said all communities should respect each other’s religion, religious icons and scriptures.

Acharya Krishnan condemned moves to brand all Muslims terrorists and anti-nationals.

“When Islam teaches love, service, worship and humanity, how can a follower of that religion become a terrorist? But there is a conspiracy to prove Muslims terrorist and traitor,” he said.

Acharya Krishnan said that for terror acts of some individuals, the whole community cannot be maligned and targeted.

“I want to ask: Mahatma Gandhi was not killed by a Muslim. Indira Gandhi was not killed by a Muslim. Rajiv Gandhi was not blown up by a Muslim. Lalit Makan was not killed by a Muslim. Beant Singh was not blown up by a Muslim. The family of Hiteshwar Saikia was not killed by a Muslim. Can the communities of the killers of these leaders be declared terrorist? When the whole community cannot be branded as terrorist then how can the whole Muslim community can be branded terrorist for deadly acts of a person whose name is Muslim and who appears to be Muslim? Forgive me, my friends, I cannot accept him as a Muslim,” he said.
