IndiaTomorrow.net,
New Delhi, Oct 8: BJP’s attempts to cash in on the surgical strikes across the Line of Control in the poll-bound Uttar Pradesh have backfired with Opposition parties strongly condemning the attempts.

After Congress party and Aam Aadmi Party criticizing BJP for the posters and hoardings in Uttar Pradesh over the surgical strikes, Communist Party of India (Marxist) has also expressed its displeasure over the ‘misuse’ of the military operation for ‘political gains’.

“Despicable to see an Indian Army operation being misused for political gains in rallies and on election posters of the BJP,” said CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury in a tweet on Saturday.

“चुनावी पोस्टर और पार्टी रैली में सेना की उपलब्धि का राजनीतिक इस्तेमाल सैनिकों की गरिमा से खिलवाड़ है। यह सरासर ग़लत, राष्ट्र हित में नहीं है,” said Yechury in another tweet in Hindi.
