New Delhi, Feb 21: Already facing strong criticism from opposition for his Qabristan-Shamshan remarks, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday was targeted by RJD chief Lalu Prasad over alleged involvement of some BJP members in an espionage case. Former Bihar chief minister Lalu asked why PM Modi is silent on “links of BJP leaders with ISI agents”.
Earlier this month, the Madhya Pradesh ATS nabbed 11 people from different districts of the state for allegedly selling state secrets and sensitive details about Indian Army deployments to Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence. The arrested persons included. Jitendra, one of the accused, is said to be brother-in-law of Gwalior based BJP corporator while Dhruv Saxena, another accused is member of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), the BJP youth wing, and its district IT cell coordinator based in Bhopal.
“Country must ask why PM is Zipped, Shy, Mum, Mousy, Mute & Buttoned up on links of BJP leaders with ISI agents?”, tweeted Lalu couple of hours ago.
Before him, his son and deputy chief minister of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav also made strong comments on this issue.
“Beware! Country is in danger! The self-claimed socalled patriotic PM is totally mum on sponsorship of ISI agents by his party No action,” tweeted Tejashwi.
“I challenge 56″ chested PM to open up his mouth on deep rooted relations of BJP leaders wth ISI agents. Break ur deadly silence & Be loud Mr.PM,” he said in another tweet.
Earlier, Lalu had denounced PM Modi’s Qabristan-Shamshan remarks. During an election speech in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, PM Modi while targeting Samajwadi Party government had said that if there is qabristan (graveyard) in every village, why shouldn’t be shamshan in every village.
“देश ने ऐसा PM नहीं देखा जो सीने पर अपनी पार्टी का चिह्न चिपका धर्म और जाति की बात कर देशवासियों की भावनाएं भड़काने का काम करता है।” tweeted Lalu.
“PM को दल और द्वेष की भावना से ऊपर उठना चाहिये। उन्हें तकरार की नही प्यार की,तोड़ने की नही जोड़ने की,विनाश की नही विकास की बातें करनी चाहिए”.
“आप PM है साहब।देश में श्मशान बनाने व किसानों के बिल माफ़ करने से किसी ने रोका है क्या?56इंची व्यक्ति डरपोक रास्ते से देश को गुमराह नही करता”, tweeted Lalu.
