IndiaTomorrow.net,
New Delhi, March 3: CPM General Secretary Sitaram Yechuri on Friday slammed RSS over an announcement made by its Madhya Pradesh leader Kundan Chandrawat to reward Rs 1 crore to anyone who brought the head of Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

“When a BJP MP and a state’s home minister approve of the RSS leader’s threat to the CM of Kerala, it only reaffirms RSS’ violent ways,” Yechuri tweeted.

During a protest event held on Wednesday in Ujjain’s Shahid Park, Chandrawat, RSS sehprachar pramukh (joint publicity chief) of Ujjain held Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan responsible for the killings of RSS pracharaks and activists in the state.

In the presence of BJP Lok Sabha MP Chintamani Malviya, Chandrawat reportedly said: “The Hindus no more have the zeal of Shivaji Maharaj. I announce Rs 1 crore from my pocket to anyone who brings me the severed head of the Kerala Chief Minister and promised to offer a garland of three lack human skulls to Bharat Mata (in revenge),”he said. Chandrawat also reminded Gujarat riots in 2002.

“Teen sau pracharak aur karyakartaon ki hatya kari hai na tumne? Teen lakh narmundo ki varmala pahnaenge Bharat Mata ko, wampanthiyo sun lo (Haven’t you killed 300 pracharaks and activists? We will offer a garland of three lakh human skulls to Bharat Mata, this is a warning to Leftists),” he was quoted as saying by The Indian Express.

Referring to the Godhra train carnage and subsequent Gujarat riots, Chandrawat said, “Bhool gaye kya Godhra ko? Chhappan mare the, 2,000 kabristan mein chale gaye. Ghusa diya unko andar isi Hindu samaj ne (Have you forgotten Godhra? Fifty-six were killed, 2,000 were sent to the graveyard. They were pushed beneath the ground by the same Hindu community),” he said.

When Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Bhupendra Singh was asked whether any action would be taken against Chandrawat, he said: “Thousands of Hindus have been killed and their bodies have not been found. All this is happening under the (Kerala) government’s patronage,” the daily quoted him as saying.

BJP MP Chintamani Malviya said, “He (Chandrawat) was giving vent to his anger at the killing of RSS activists and the speech was a culmination of his pent-up feelings.”

However, Malviya did not endorse Chandrawat’s remarks.

Meanwhile, RSS All-India Sah Prachar Pramukh J Nandkumar issued a statement, saying Chandrawat’s remarks were “not an official version of the RSS”.

On the issue, Kerala CM Vijayan said that Chandrawat’s threat did not bother him.

“The RSS has beheaded many persons, but that doesn’t mean I will stop moving around. I reject the threat with contempt,” he said.
