Mob Lynching: Main accused in Junaid Khan’s Killing Arrested

New Delhi, July 8: The main accused in the running train lynching of 16-year-old Junaid Khan of Haryana has been arrested. According to NDTV, the accused has confessed his crime before the police.

In the first horrific incident of lynching in a crowded running train, Khan was beaten and then stabbed to death by a group of men in the Delhi-Mathura EMU local train near Palwal railway station in Haryana on 22nd June.

He was returning home in Ballabhgarh along with his two brothers after Eid shopping in Delhi. His brothers Hashim Khan (19) and Shakir Khan (22) were also assaulted by the mob – one of them is in critical condition and admitted at AIIMS trauma centre in Delhi. All of them are residents of Khandawli village in Ballabhgarh district of Haryana.
