New Delhi, Sep 18: As the Ryan International School in Gurugram reopened on Monday, Varun Chandra Thakur, the father of a seven-year-old who was found dead in the washroom of the school, says that reopening the school will erase all evidence about the case.

He said there was a possibility of evidence tampering with the re-opening of the school.

On September 8, Pradhuman Thakur of Class 2 was found with his throat slit in the washroom of the school in the Bhondsi on the Sohna road. A bus driver, Ashok Kumar has been arrested in connestion with the case.

“Pradhuman’s father on Sunday expressed the concern that the reopening of the school will erase all the evidences related to the case. This will also have direct consequences on the CBI’s investigation,” Thakur’s lawyer Susheel Tekriwala told IANS.

“Due to this the school should remain close till the investigations are not completed,” he added.

Pradhuman’s father has moved the Supreme Court over his son’s murder, demanding that the school should remain closed until the CBI completes its probe into his son’s murder.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday announced that the investigation of the brutal killing is being handed over to CBI.

Ryan reopens 10 days after Pradhuman’s murder

The Ryan International School on Monday reopened after the Haryana government suspended the management and appointed Gurugram Deputy Commissioner Vinay Pratap Singh as its new administrator

The media have been barred from entering the school premises in Bhondsi on Sohna road as it can cause “undue disturbances”.
