The website had published its story on Sunday morning. In the story, which the website claimed was based on the filings with the Registrar of Companies (RoC), it was said that Jay Shah’s Temple Enterprise Private Ltd. had revenues of Rs 50,000 in 2014-15 but it jumped to over Rs 80.5 crore in 2015-16.

Jay Shah and BJP have said there was no wrongdoing on the part of the company. On Monday, Jay Shah filed a defamation suit of Rs 100 crore against the reporter, editors and owners of the website.

However, Congress and other opposition parties have demanded probe into the case.

Give up Twitter politics, work on ground: BJP to Rahul

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday said the Congress is on the wane throughout the country and advised its Vice President Rahul Gandhi to give up Twitter politics and work on the ground.

Referring to BJP’s success in the first phase of Maharashtra Gram Panchayat polls, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar said the party’s performance showed it was the choice of the poor.

“The whole country is supporting Modiji and the BJP for development and the Congress is shrinking in every part of the country. It is going in reverse direction. Even in the meetings of Congress, people chant Modi-Modi. We saw it yesterday (Monday) in Bihar,” Javadekar told reporters here.
