NEW DELHI, FEBRUARY 05— BJP’s Member of Parliament Parvesh Sahib Singh Verma was on Wednesday banned, second time in one week, by the Election Commission from campaigning for the Delhi Assembly elections for his controversial remarks.

The fresh ban for 24 hours imposed on him for calling Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal “terrorist”.

Last week, the MP was banned from campaigning for 96 hours for making hate speeches regarding anti-CAA protest of Shaheen Bagh.

“The (Election) Commission is of the considered view that Sh. Parvesh Sahib Singh made vitriolic aspersions against Sh. Arvind Kejriwal, Chief Minister of Delhi which violate… the Model Code of Conduct…” the election body said in a statement today.

Last week, besides Parvesh, Union Minister Anurag Thakur and BJP candidate Kapil Mishra were also banned from campaigning for their provocative and inflammatory remarks.
