PATNA—Initial trends indicate the Bharatiya Janata Party to be emerging the single largest party as its candidates are leading on as many as 72 seats in Bihar assembly election, followed by Tejaswi Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal candidates leading on 66 seats. Incumbent Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal (United) in on number three position with the party leading in 47 constituencies.
The Congress is leading merely on 21 seats, while the left parties are leading on 19 seats.
Lok Janshakti Party(LJP) of Cjirag Paswan is leading on two seats while All India Muslim Ittehadul Muslimin (AIMIM) lead by Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi is leading on three seats. Independents are leading on six seats and Vikassheel Insaan Party(VIP) is ahead in six constituencies.
