Assam: Minority Welfare Society Felicitates Meritorious Students

Meritorious Muslim students of Std X and XII felicitated by Assam's Muslim Welfare Society at a function at Dispur recently.

GUWAHATI—Minority Welfare society has felicitated as many as 27 Muslim students who passed the board examinations-2020 for Std X and XII by securing over 90 per cent of marks 2020.

The students include both from the Central Board of Secondary Education as well as School Education Board of assam (SEBA).

The students were given a cash award of Rs. 5,000 each, a plaque and some gifts.

Three toppers of class XII board examinations securing 95%-Firoze Rashid Choudhury (Sarla Birla Gyan Jyoti), Nasrullah Mohammad Zaved Choudhury (Srimanta Sankar Academy), and Nazia Jasmin Talukdar ((Srimanta Sankar Academy) and three top performers in Class X board exams securing 90% and above-Ishrat Anjum Choudhury (KV Khanapara), Nowshin Farha Mazumder (Little Flower School), and Tahnia Sultana Choudhury (Happy Child School) were among those felicitated by the society.  

Among those who addressed the students at the felicitation function included  Gauhait High Court advocate Hafiz Rashid Ahmed Choudhury, Assam’s former health minister Abu Saleh Najmuddin and former Head of Department of Chemistry at Cotton University Prof Saaduddin Choudhury, former HoD Chemistry.

Iftikhar Hussain, who recently completed his MSc in chemistry from Catholic University in Belgium, gave a motivational speech.
