Take Stern Action Against Rapist, Murderer of Assamese Girl: Badruddin Ajmal to Karnataka CM

BENGALURU—Member of Parliament from Assam and President of the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Badruddin Ajmal has asked Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa to take exemplary action against the rapist and murderer of 19-year-old Jasmina Akhtar. Ajmal has also requested Yediyurappa to make all necessary arrangement to send her body to Barpeta and also provide adequate security to Assamese students studying in Karnakata.

Jasmina, a resident of Howly in Barpeta district of Assam, was raped and murdered by her brother’s friend in Byadrahalli area of Bengaluru on December 16.

The Bengaluru police have arrested the accused,  a 25-year-old college student, in this connection.

As the accused was known to the girl’s family, they had asked the accused to help for admission of the girl in B.Sc(Nursing).

The accused got her admission in East-West College. However, the girl’s family left for Assam after getting her admitted in the college on December 14.

However, some formalities were yet to be completed and the accused asked the girl to come to his place on Wednesday morning.

Within hours of the girl arriving at the accused person’s place, the accused came out of his house, screaming and asking for help. The neighbours rushed to his house and saw the girl in a pool of blood. They immediately took her to Anupama Hospital in Yelahanka area where she was declared brought dead by doctors.

However, the exact reason for the murder of the girl is not known yet.
